Paranormal, a broad concept. Part 4/4

There is a growing interest in "the paranormal". But what exactly is that: paranormal? This is part 4 and the end of this series.

Training

To develop and employ your paranormal abilities you have to train them, but how do you figure out where your talents are? Are you 'clear' knowing or clairvoyant, and how can you learn to trust your intution more? There are many books and workshops in this area and if you focus well on your wishes, the right thing will end up on your path.

Lesson

If you follow lessons with someone, make sure you do not simply accept or take on everything the other one tells you. Remain critical and examine whether it works for you too. And do not put that person on a pedestal. It will not help you or the other.

Respect

People often have too much respect for mediums or other spiritually advanced people, which makes newcomes vulnerable. One person has simply worked more with paranormal abilities than the other. A great trust in your own abilities and knowledge is a significant condition for developing your abilities. Keep a diary, a Book of Shadows, of your experiences and do not let yourself get carried away by negative stories, because the energy you spend on that pulls it into reality, so to speak. Remain positive and friendly in everything you do and you will see there will be beautiful experiences.

Practicing

Here are a number of exercises to start with:

Duo Exercise. Arrange for a sparring-partner. One person has something in mind: a form, a fruit, a piece of clothing, a colour or a number. This person is called the "sender". This image is then mentally sent to the sparring-partner. This person is called the "receiver". He or she write down the impressions, aiming to reach the highest possible degree of correctness. It is best to sit in two different rooms and agree on a start and stop time. Alternate with each other and try something new every time. This is a lot like the Zener cards.

Individual Exercise. This exercise lasts approximately 15 minutes: lay down a notebook and hold a pen in your writing hand loosely. Relax your mind and say or whisper: "I would like more information about (name your topic here)." Wait patiently. Take your time. Let your hand go and start to write everything that comes into your mind, do not try to analysise anything, simply write, however crazy it may seem. Keep focusing on what you want to know and try not to read it immediately; only do that once you're finished. Then you have a look if what you have written has a connection to your question. The most fantastic things can come from this.

Have fun!
